Each time I put the GPS back in it takes some wiggling to get it positioned correctly so that the LCD screen isn't obstructed. The belt hook is passable, but I nearly lost my GPS once on the first hike I took it on, so keep an eye on it. This is basically a leather strap with some stretch cord and a belt hook on it. Just an annoyance, and I'm sure that a securely held GPS is better than an insecurely held GPS. It has a little ring that you could attach a small carabiner too, and I plan to use that in the future.The GPS is held securely by the strap and stretchy cord. So securely, that it makes it difficult to get the GPS out to access the data port. If you don't use the data port, then this won't be an issue.Overall, I'm not disappointed in my purchase. I'm still on the lookout for something better though.
